Today, we would like to introduce you to our mini controller card that we developed and successfully produced many years ago. Whether you use it for drones, FPV or RC vehicles, this card has a strong design and engineering approach behind its compact structure.
We are generally very selective about sharing project files. However, we do not hesitate to present some of our cards, including their schematics, openly, as long as they are not against the public, do not require intensive R&D processes and we see the benefit in sharing. Because we continue this journey not only to improve, but also to grow by sharing knowledge. It is our principle to reinforce what we have learned, to inspire our curious colleagues and to respectfully refer to everyone who has worked in this field.
The RP2040 microcontroller has a different architecture than traditional MCU's. It works with hardware programmable units similar to FPGA logic and defines this as PIO (Programmable I/O) within itself. This approach offers a special hardware infrastructure that can work like an external task unit without keeping the processor busy. It provides a reliable solution independent of CPU interrupts, especially in applications that require critical timing such as motor control, high-precision reading operations or control communication.
